Parents deserve paid family leave and affordable child care.

For most people, paid family and medical leave and affordable child care are out of reach. The U.S. is the only developed nation that does not guarantee paid family leave. Child care costs are rising, with single parents paying 36% of their income on child care and married parents paying 10 percent. For women of color, because they are paid less for the same work, child care is even less affordable.

We must do more to ensure all people have access to paid family and medical leave and affordable child care.

Only 15% of workers have access to paid family leave through their employers.
